Scotland NC500 2024

Scotland NC500, 2024

Nineteen guests drove twelve of the best sports cars: Audi RS4 Avant and R8 V10 Spyder, Porsche GT4 and 997 GT3, BMW M2, Nissan R35 GT-R & Honda Civic Type-R, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Jaguar F-Type, McLaren 570S, and – probably the most evocative when parked up in the sunshine at the location of James Bond’s Skyfall scene – an Aston Martin V12 Vantage S. From Cumbria, over the Old Military Road and through Perth and the Cairngorms, via Balmoral Castle and Inverness: we marvelled at the increasing drama of the incredible landscape. From the most northern coast of the British Isles, via Kylesku Bridge, to Ullapool, and over Applecross Pass – the steepest ascent of any road in the UK. Fort William, Glencoe, and Bridge of Orchy: eight hundred miles of great roads, friendship, and loads of fun.

“We had an amazing time. The choice of hotels was perfect, and the roads, well they are just epic, over every crest and round every bend is another vista of rugged perfection, where one just runs out of superlatives. The roads vary hugely from fast sweeping well sighted A roads, where you can push on, to tight twisting mountain passes and Lochside single tracks, all of which are an utter joy to drive. We had a great mixed group of characters and cars that gelled immediately, anyone that stopped us to chat automatically assumed that we were all old friends. We had plenty of time to socialise after the day’s fun. Huge thanks to Kev & Richard…..we will be seeing you soon”.
